Desiccant
There are two types desiccants, physically adsorbing type and chemically adsorbing type. CAREDRY® and Silica Gel are physical types of desiccant with microscopic pores that attract and hold moisture. They fluctuate in their adsorbing capacity according to relative humidity. They also adsorb and desorb moisture in a reversible manner. RAYM® is a chemical type of desiccant that utilizes its chemical transformation from calcium oxide to calcium hydrate. It also features a fixed adsorbing capacity under any circumstance from low humidity to high humidity.

SILICA GEL is a neutral or acid syntheticdesiccant made by coagulating a colloidal solution of silicicacid. It adsorbs water vapor in its micropores which are approximately 20 Å in diameter. SILICA GEL is classified into Type A and TypeB, and their performance is standardized according to the Japanese Industrial Standard.
